Kilimanjaro Bound is an excellent locally runs company. I signed up for the 8 day Lemosho route along with a 7 day safari. From initial planning of the trip throughout the end Kilimanjaro Bound provided excellent timely communication and service.
Our climb was led by guides Aggey and Leonard and both were great. They have led summits many times and were very knowledgeable and friendly. If you listen and follow they will definitely get you to the top. The rest of the team (Cook, Porters, etc) were awesome and they always seemed to be having fun and in a good mood. Overall all of the employees seem to be treated well and happy.
Our Safari was led by Nasir who has an eagle eye for spotting animals. On multiple occasions he was pointing out stuff we never would have found. He has been in the business for quite some time and it really showed as he was an excellent guide.
Overall Kilimanjaro Bound far exceeded my expectations and is an excellent choice if you are heading to Tanzania.
I would definitely recommend Kilimanjaro Bound. We climbed Mt Kilimanjaro using the 8 days Lemosho Route. We found the team fantastic and the meals were very good. The guides would always make sure we were eating enough
They would always reply to our emails and there were many of them. When it came to payment we had a very smooth payment by card in the end everything was good
On my first trip to Africa I used Kilimanjaro Bound and the experience was more than I could have hoped for. My sister and I opted for a private, week-long, camping safari, which was very reasonably priced, especially considering we never had to pitch our own tent or prepare our own food.
We traveled with a guide and a cook, both of whom were so professional, yet very warm and easy to travel with. I’m sure all the guides are amazing, but I can’t say enough Ray. Since my trip, friends have requested him upon booking and are all happy they did so! I swear he knows more about the wildlife than Google, and loves sharing that knowledge.
I’ll never forget a moment of this trip. Especially the night the lions visited camp!
This was the best last minute decision we made in our whole time in Africa.
Sam made our trip and experience amazing. No problem to big and all done with easy chilled vibe.
We had an awesome time on this well organized trip. We see such a variety of animals and landscapes I’ve dreamed of for many years.
Vehicles, accommodation and food were great quality and the guides both knowledgeable and fun.
I would highly recommend the trip we did taking in Serengeti – Ngorongoro – Manyara – and more!
Sam and his team can make things work for whatever your needs are.
We used him again to take a friend a month after we did.
Get it booked and enjoy the experience for very good price
I have used Kilimanjaro Bound twice now to climb Mt Kilimanjaro with large groups. The trips are very well organized, the food is fantastic and the guides are extremely professional. We had 100% success rate on both trips which is a big achievement for any operator. I also used Kilimanjaro Bound for safaris and again, this was very well organized. Throughout my dealings with Kilimanjaro Bound I found them to be very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. I would highly recommend Kilimanjaro Bound for any of your African adventures.
It was my first visit to Africa and we chose a trip to Tanzania. We reached out to multiple websites who were offering Kilimanjaro packages, but Kilimanjaro Bound was the fastest to respond to our queries. Since this was our first time to Africa, we had a lot of questions and Sam answered all of them clearly. As suggested by Sam, we did the 6 days Migration Safari first and then the Kilimanjaro hike via Machame route.
Our Safari started from Arusha with Rajab as our safari guide. He was well informed about the flora and fauna of all the parks we visited. We were hoping to see the Big Five and thanks to Rajab, we could spot all of them, along with the migrating wildebeest in northern Serengeti and cheetahs in Central Serengeti. He also had a great sense of humor that made our safari very enjoyable. The camps that were provided were fantastic. One of them, Tortilis camp (in Central Serengeti), was located at a very nice place and we were able to sight Elephants and a herd of buffaloes just from the camp. The hospitality was great, and the food was cooked very well. At Northern Serengeti we stayed at Tingitana migration camp which was very close to migrating wildebeest and Zebra herds! We missed watching river crossing. It apparently happened the day before we reached Northern Serengeti 🙁 But we were happy with our safari overall as we saw more animals than we ever imagined.
After our Safari, we were taken to Moshi for our Kilimanjaro climb and we had a briefing on the same evening. We booked 7 days Machame route climb. Aggrey was our climbing guide, and we were accompanied by an assistant guide, a cook and the 9 porters. The crew was very supportive, helpful and friendly. The food was very tasty and it met our requirement of nutrition for the trek. We had varieties of fruits every day for breakfast. We had hot tea every morning, and hot water was prepared for us whenever we had to freshen up. The porters would carry our belongings and the tents, reach the campsite and set it up before we could arrive. They were all very cheerful throughout the hike and ensured they lifted our spirits. We were slow, when compared to many other groups around us, but Aggey never hurried us. We were allowed to hike in our pace, and he motivated us to move on, whenever we would rest for too long.
On the summit day, we had to leave around midnight to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. Without the support of the guides and the crew, we would not have been able to complete the trek. Aggey and the assistant guide used to check our vitals often, to ensure we were safe and sound at all times.
The descent was a little difficult as it was slippery. But the crew helped us and ensured we reached the base safe. We could not have asked for a better team to accompany us on the trek.
We are planning to visit Africa again, and we are sure we will book it with Kilimanjaro Bound, for the quality of service they offer. I would highly recommend Kilimanjaro Bound.
Kilimanjaro Bound did an amazing job planning our 7 days safari. Everything was perfect! The communication with Kilimanjaro Bound was great! They always replay very fast at emails and messages (via what’s-App). Our expectations were more than met. Rajab, our guide was amazing. He was very helpful and reliable. He answered all our questions and gave us a lot of interesting information. I cannot think of anything that could have been done differently to improve the experience.
