Meet your driver at Kilimanjaro International Airport and drive to your hotel in Arusha for lunch/dinner and relaxation after the long flight. Depending on your program, your mountain guide will meet you in the hotel for briefing and equipment checking.
Arusha/Moshi - Marangu Gate After breakfast is where our journey will start from the hotel in Arusha/Moshi to Kilimanjaro National Park gate for the necessary formalities at the gate. 8km from the gate we start the climbs through a fascinating tropical rain forest; we reach the first hut at Mandara for dinner and overnight. An alternative is to simply rest and relax the beautiful forest around the camp with the exploration of Maundi Crater Marangu Gate (1980 m) to Mandara Hut (2,727 m): 4-6 hours walking.

Mandara to Horrombo Hut For that day expect the addition of 3km ascent from the previous day which means you have to walk for 11km, the first part of the walk is a steep ascent through forest, but the path soon opens out into moorland and, in clear weather, there are great views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. We arrive at Horombo Hut mid-afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery around the camp Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720 m): 5-6 hours walking Activities: Hiking & Walking Accommodation: Mountain Hut
Horombo Hut (rest day/) For that day we will rest at Horombo Hut for acclimatization, whereby we can have an excursion to the surrounding terrain, we can walk towards the Mawenzi hut, passing the Zebra Rocks, We recommend drinking enough water and walking slowly! Horombo to Kibo Hut Today we climb very gradually towards the lunar desert of the Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. About 11km ascent to 970 meters(3780-4700) These 6-7 hours walking will be taken at a slow pace until we reach Kibo Hut (4,700m), where we will spend the night in a comfortable hut. We will arrive at the mid-evening. The remainder of the day is devoted to rest or exploration of the surroundings. Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700 m.); 4-6 hours walking. Kibo Hut to Summit( Uhuru peak) Wake up before midnight around 22.00-24.00 hrs it is here where we begin the final challenge to the peak of Africa, pass through the Gillman’s 5,685 m.and we can continue slowly to make the three-hour round trip from here along the crater rim to Uhuru peak 5,895 m. which is the highest point in Africa. Congratulations Kibo Hut to Summit to Horombo Hut (3,720 m.): 13-15 hours walking. Activities: Hiking & Walking Accommodation: Mountain Hut
Horrombo Hut- Marangu gate Today we will descend past Mandara hut where you will take lunch, then our journey will continue to Marangu Gate, successful climbers will receive their summit certificates. From here you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Horombo hut to Marangu Gate. (5-6 hours walking). Activities: Descending Accommodation: Hotel or lodge
Departure This tour ends after breakfast in the hotel, our driver will collect you from the hotel at the arranged time to take you to the airport. However, it is possible to extend your trip to Tanzania to visit Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater or you may decide to visit cultural Tourism programs near Arusha before your departure time to Airport.
