My heart (and SD cards) are still overflowing after a spectacular 12-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania. I traveled with a group of five, including three serious photographers, and the experience surpassed every expectation. Our journey looped from Nairobi, visiting eight incredible parks: Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Arusha, and Amboseli. From the very beginning, Irene handled every detail, crafting a custom itinerary and responding with remarkable flexibility to our last-minute requests. After soliciting quotes from 15 different companies for a similar mid-range trip, Ejas Africa Adventures offered the best value by far—and delivered beyond promise. The accommodations were wonderful, with our two camps inside the Serengeti being absolute peaks of charm and luxury. The team on the ground made the adventure truly exceptional. Our guides, Alex, Henry, and Joel, were instrumental in our prolific game sightings and endless fun. And a special shoutout to Terrain’s private chef, who prepared the most incredible meals throughout our trip. We witnessed every animal on our wishlist and more—seeing the Big Nine megafauna (including elusive black and white rhinos and leopard) repeatedly, along with countless birds, reptiles, and smaller mammals. Each day offered something new: observing animal behaviors in different habitats and social settings was utterly captivating. My final tally of spotted species exceeded 90! We returned with a lifetime of memories and photos. If you’re planning a safari, I cannot recommend irene and Ejas Africa Adventures highly enough. You are guaranteed the adventure of a lifetime.
